  1. Great photo. The bee is so sharp and the flower has a great blur to it.

  2. Perfect focus on the wing, it is amazing that such a fragile looking thing is so strong. I love how this is two colors that love each other.

  3. Very beautiful capture and the comments are very interested.

  4. Wow, Madelaine, this is gorgeous – love the soft blur and the way the bee and the flower coordinates! Really pretty!

  5. Very nice catch!
I also heard that bees are not supposed to be able to fly :o)

  6. This is beautiful! I have pondered on the way insects wings can even carry them! For instance, this bee, or any bee, has such bulky bodies, their wings must be light to keep from adding to their total weight. The Lord knew what He was doing when he created them. Didn’t I read somewhere where scientists determined a bumblebee to be incapable of flight due to its construction?
I googled the information and found at http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics/Bumblebee
that according to aerodynamics, bumblebees should be incapable of flight. You have to scroll down almost to the bottom of the article to a subtopic named: Flight.

  7. This is beautiful…wonderful bokeh!
