125. Theme 232 ~Photograph~

This handsome fellow is my grandfather at the age of 30.  He passed away in 2005, and I miss him very much.   He was really one of a kind!

  1. What a wonderful tribute – beautifully captured. I’m enjoying all the photos I’ve been catching up on. I wish I had more time to spend on the blogs commenting.

  2. The angle and soft tones of your photo of a photo makes for an interesting and appealing shot!

  3. Excellent photograph, Madelaine. I love the background and the angle of the picture frame.

  4. Very good photograph of a nice portrait.

  5. I love how you composed and shot this, I love his smile…

  6. This is a great rememberance of your Grandpa. Your photograph of his photograph is stunning and very well done. The old studio photographs have a certain charm to them.

  7. Sad lose, Happy Memories, Great Take

  8. Taking a photograph of a photograph is tricky business. You did this one justice though! I like your angle and how the pretty complementary background shows…

  9. Very handsome! You are fortunate to have had your grandparents into your adulthood. They really are special people, aren’t they?

  10. You are so fortunate to have such a great formal portrait of him! My grandpa passed a few years back too. It is so good to remember them and keep passing along information about them to the young ones in the family.

  11. What a great looking grandpa you have! I am sure this always stirs up happy memories for you! My grandpa (Bubba’s husband) died in 2005 as well, doesn’t that seem like it was just yesterday?? Weird how time flies without them!
