Red-bellied woodpeckers are my very favorite birds. I would hear them and knew what tree they were in but hadn’t seen them in a long while. So, imagine my surprise yesterday afternoon when I found their front door! = ) You can hear what they sound like HERE.

Had to look this one up. Very similar to our Golden-fronted Woodpeckers. I enjoy watching them, too! Nice find!!!
